Our 2 days chimpanzee tracking safari to Nyungwe Forest National Park takes you to track chimpanzees and also do a canopy walk in one of the oldest forests in Africa and it is a home to over 10 different species of primates , including chimpanzees. Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Kigali to Nyungwe National Park.

In the morning, after breakfast, our professional woman tour guide will drive you to Nyungwe National Park. The drive will take you 4 hours, arriving in the afternoon. On the way to the park, you may visit the former king's palace to learn about the cultures of the Rwandans. You can also visit the Butare museum in Huye before proceeding to Nyungwe National Park. In the evening, you can go for a canopy walk on a rope bridge that hangs high above the forest canopy for great views and birdwatching. or trek the black and white colobus monkeys. Overnight at

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe/ Transfer back to Kigali.

In the morning before sunrise, you will transfer to the park headquarters at either Uwinka or Gisakura trailheads for briefing and then through the forest start the search for chimpanzees. Once you meet them, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour following them and taking pictures. Later on, you will return the starting point. Drive to transfer back to Kigali in the afternoon.
